About Waitemata Table Tennis Association

The home of Table Tennis in West Auckland since 1968

Waitemata Table Tennis Association (WTTA) is a family friendly Table Tennis Association that welcomes all ages and abilities. Whether you are new to Table Tennis and just want to give it a go, or if you are a regular social player or if you really want to ramp up your competitive skills, we have something to suit everyone.

We are conveniently located at 72A Seymour Road (inside Parr’s Park), a short walk from the Sunnyvale train station in Henderson.

For our competitive players, WTTA (Waitemata Table Tennis Association) is affiliated with Table Tennis New Zealand (TTNZ) who are members of the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF). This gives our members the opportunity to play local, national and international tournaments such as Oceania Regional Championships and World Table Tennis Tournaments.

Our purpose built Table Tennis stadium re-opened December 2021 after a complete rebuild and has 10 high quality tables, international tournament flooring and lighting. We are proud to be home to world ranked players Alfred Dela Pena and Kelsey Amor. Alfred recently qualified for the 2024 Olympics and both Kelsey and Alfred have competed internationally representing both WTTA and New Zealand. Alfred is our club Head Coach, leading a team of 6 internationally qualified coaches, passing on knowledge and skills to our junior, adults and para players in weekly coaching sessions. WTTA are proud to have supported approx 10 members who have been selected to represent New Zealand internationally over the past decade.

We host casual sessions nearly everyday no need to book, just drop into sessions. You don’t need to be a member to play, but when you join as a member you can purchase an electronic swipe access tag so you can play anytime that suits your schedule, even outside our normal hours.

Drop in anytime and our team will be happy to show you around and get you started. We are run by a team of volunteer Committee members and session managers who generously give their time to developing Table Tennis for our club.

Our club is friendly and accessible to everyone, with many members becoming lifelong friends.
